for your financial support of our church and the community service we provide. Our operating budget relies upon donations from caring members and friends like you.
Offerings are received weekly in worship but some folks prefer to use a credit card, Paypal, to mail in a donation, or to arrange for an automatic bank withdrawal. Let us know how you want to help and we will work with you to make it happen.
Donations of new and unopened non-perishable food is greatly appreciated. Please make sure that your items have not reached their expiration date. Donations may be dropped off at the church office weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
New and gently used personal and household items are welcome at our Thrift Shop. Bring them by while we are open on Wednesday mornings. Phone ahead if you need pick-up or if you have large items to donate (808) 254-3802.
Pledges of Financial Support
Pledges, or estimates of annual giving, made by members and friends help Windward United Church of Christ plan and oversee its operations. We hold an annual fund Stewardship Campaign in November, but you may request a pledge card at any time.
Do you want to leave a legacy?
Do you have appreciated assets that you would like to give in support of Windward UCC’s programs? Our pastor can talk with you or your financial advisor about the many planned giving opportunities available to connect your desire to help with outright gifts of stock, art, jewelry or real estate.
It’s easy to make the church a beneficiary or secondary beneficiary of IRAs, insurance policies or other investments. This gives you or your estate a charitable tax deduction.
Updating your will or trust? Let us help you include WUCC in your estate plans.
Named after a beloved former minister who had a passion for working with youth, the Holmes Fund is designated for ministry to Windward Oahu youth. For many years the focus of the fund has been to generate college scholarships for graduating high school seniors.
Gifts to the church’s Endowment Fund become part of the principal and are held in perpetuity. Income from the Endowment Fund is used for capital improvements, seminary study, or other congregational ministry needs.
